Teaching Palestinian Literature | تدريس الأدب الفلسطيني
For decades, curricula about Palestine, and Palestinian literature in particular, were developed by everyone but Palestinians themselves. Thus, Palestinian narratives were taught through the lens of non-Palestinian interpretations, if taught at all. This panel of educators will discuss the ways in which representation affects curricula and what challenges they face in teaching Palestinian literature, especially in western classrooms, where popular imagination still has not accepted Palestinian humanity.
