Israel’s murder of Al Jazeera journalist Shireen AbuAkleh, and their subsequent attack on mourners at her funeral made headlines around the world. But Shireen wasn’t the first journalist targeted by Israeli forces, and members of the press continue to put their lives on the line in order to report from occupied Palestine.  Professor and journalist, Marc Lamont Hill, will moderate this important plenary conversation with Majdi Banura, the cameraman who filmed Shireen’s last moments; Shatha Hanaysha, fellow journalist who was with Shireen the day she was killed; Laila Al-Arian, whose Al Jazeera Faultline team produced an investigative documentary about the incident; and Dena Takruri, a distinguished Palestinian journalist who frequently reports from Palestine.
