susan abulhawa

susan abulhawa is a novelist, poet, mom, activist, scientist, and lover of all animals, especially dogs. Her first novel, Mornings in Jenin (Bloomsbury 2010), is considered a classic in Palestinian literature. It became an international bestseller, translated in 32 languages, and made Abulhawa one of the most widely read Arab authors in the world. Her next two novels, The Blue Between Sky and Water (Bloomsbury 2015) and Against the Loveless World (Simon & Schuster, 2020) likewise achieved critical acclaim and were translated into a multitude of languages. Other works by Abulhawa include a poetry collection entitled My Voice Sought The Wind (Just World Books 2013) and numerous anthology contributions. She is a member of Workers World Party, the Palestinian Feminist Collective, and other organizations.
