Majdi Bannoura: “I live in Bethlehem, Palestine with my wife, Wafa, and our four children. I started my career journey in 1994 with the Palestinian TV after graduating from Alquds Institute for Cinema and Television in Jerusalem. Then after three years I started working at Aljazeera Channel as a camera man. It hasn’t been easy at all and I was shot several times on duty. On May 11, 2022, the Isreali soldiers opened fire at my colleagues and I while we were doing our job in Jenin Refugee Camp, suddenly my colleague and dear friend Shireen AbuAkle was shot from a sniper and died on the spot. I was holding my camera filming this sad and shocking event.”
