 | Neena Beena is an artist, organizer, and skateboarder from Gainesville, FL. As a member of Dream Defenders and other local activist organizations in Florida, Neena is passionate about offering support to and spreading positivity in their community. They started working in social media in 2011 to create connections within the skateboarding community, and soon realized that online platforms have the potential to offer new perspectives that change lives. A major source of their inspiration and education comes from Palestinian activists who use social media to communicate their stories to the rest of the world and shed light on the truth. Neena believes that if we use our communication channels effectively, we can provide accessibility to the information necessary to achieve liberating ideological shifts in society. |
