Jacqueline Berry
Jacqueline Berry currently calls Philadelphia home. Here she has worked for several years in fair trade, homeless services, disability advocacy, and most recently supporting a river cleanup project, anti-racism work and urban goats. Jacqueline spreads the wealth across many issues with the underlying intention that her life and work – paid and unpaid, activism and volunteerism – is towards greater social, environmental, and economic justice. Palestinian solidarity has been a constant since she experienced the difference between formal education and reality, while traveling and living in the Middle East decades ago. Falling in love with Palestine and her people made the unlearning easier. Jacqueline is grateful to be working on this first Palestine Writes Literature Festival celebrating life, love, literature and learning! ps. shout out to the Special AKA for introducing her to Nelson Mandela, apartheid and the power of BDS |
